COPPER CHANDELIER

For a San Francisco family, designer Ken Fulk restored a faded 19th-century landmark, transforming it into a multifunctional 21st-century home without sacrificing any of its period drama. The marble bathtub in the bathroom of the wife is by Urban Archaeology, the wallcovering is hand-painted, and the floor is by Fox Marble.

MID-CENTURY CHANDELIER

Thanks to a pair of brother architects, this flat on Paris's Right Bank includes a dark and moody aesthetic which upgrades classic French design for the 21st century. The master bathroom holds a 1950s dining table a 1960s chandelier, and also a armchair. The master bath of Alice Childress and Christopher Daniels's downtown Manhattan loft, built with the assistance of Courtnay Daniels Haden, includes a vintage Italian chandelier, a classic freestanding marble bathtub, and an inherited 18th-century painting. The custom made vanities are outfitted with Caesarstone countertops and Kohler sinks; the sink and bathtub fittings are by Barber Wilsons & Co.
